Welcome to RUN FANATICS! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website, event registration, race day participation, and any related services provided by Event Fanatics Limited (trading as RUN FANATICS). By accessing or using our website and services, including participation in our events, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms and Conditions, please do not enter our events or use our services.
This document also outlines policies related to race day changes, including adjustments to routes, start times, event names, or other logistics due to unforeseen circumstances. By registering, you agree to adhere to these changes if implemented to ensure the safety and smooth operation of the event.
By registering for or participating in our events, you also agree to the Waiver and Release of Liability included in this document.

Part 1: Terms and Conditions

2. Definitions
- "We", "Us", "Our": Refers to Event Fanatics Limited, trading as RUN FANATICS.
- "You", "Your": Refers to any individual using our website, registering for events, or interacting with our services.
- "Website": Refers to runfanatics.co.uk and any related subdomains or online platforms owned or operated by RUN FANATICS.
- "Events": Refers to any sporting events, races, or activities organized or managed by RUN FANATICS.
3. Use of the Website
3.1 Eligibility:
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our website and services. By using the website, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts and that all information you provide is accurate and truthful.
3.2 Website Access:
We strive to ensure that our website remains accessible at all times. However, we reserve the right to suspend, withdraw, or amend the service we provide on our website without notice. We will not be liable if, for any reason, the website is unavailable for any period.
3.3 Content:
All content on our website, including text, images, graphics, and logos, is the property of RUN FANATICS and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any content without our express written permission.
4. Event Registration and Participation
4.1 Registration Process:
To participate in an event, you must complete the registration process on our website and pay any applicable fees. By registering for an event, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as any specific event rules outlined at the time of registration.
4.2 Fees and Payment:
Event registration fees are specified on the website and are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. All payments must be made via our approved payment methods. We reserve the right to change event fees at any time.
4.3 No Refunds Policy & Transfers:
By registering for an event, you agree to our no refunds policy. If you're unable to attend, you may request to:

Transfer your entry to the virtual run

Transfer your entry to another participant
Please note: These options are offered at our discretion and may not be available if public liability insurance has already been arranged or race bibs have been posted or for other reasons.
4.4 Event Amendments, Name Changes, and Cancellations:
The organisers reserve the right to amend, rename, postpone, or cancel any event at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, adverse weather conditions, communicable disease outbreaks, safety concerns, or events of national significance such as the death of the monarch resulting in a period of national mourning.
We also reserve the right to postpone any event for any reason. In all such cases, no refunds will be issued.
If an event is cancelled or postponed, we will make every effort to:

Reschedule the event and transfer all entries to the new date

Secure an alternative venue in the same city or surrounding area for the original date

Transfer your entry to another Run Fanatics event of the same theme at a later date

Provide you with store credit to use towards a future event if none of the alternative options are suitable
All decisions are made at the discretion of the organisers and are final.
4.5 Race Day Changes:
Unforeseen circumstances — including but not limited to adverse weather, safety concerns, or logistical challenges — may require changes to the event on race day. These changes may include (but are not limited to):

Adjustments to the race route

Changes to start times

Modifications to aid stations or other event facilities

Changes to the event name or branding
In some cases, the route may need to be shortened for health and safety reasons. If this occurs, no refunds will be issued.
By registering, you agree to accept any such changes. These decisions are made to prioritise participant safety and ensure the smooth running of the event.
4.6 Minimum Age Requirements:
Participants must meet the following minimum age requirements to enter events:
- 7 years for a 5K race (All children must be supervised by an adult who has also purchased a ticket. One adult may supervise up to two children.)
- 15 years for a 10K race
- 17 years for a half marathon
In some instances, younger children may be permitted to participate in the 5K race, but this requires prior written permission from RUN FANATICS. To request permission, please email info@runfanatics.co.uk.
4.7 Health and Safety:
All participants must ensure they are fit and healthy enough to compete in the event. By entering, you accept all risks associated with physical activity during the event and will not hold the organisers responsible for any injuries or health issues that arise before, during, or after the event.
5. Limitation of Liability
5.1 Event Participation:
RUN FANATICS is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during an event unless it is caused by our negligence. We recommend that all participants have appropriate insurance coverage for their participation.
6. Data Protection and Privacy
We collect, use, and store personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy.
7. Photography and Media Consent
By participating in the event, you consent to RUN FANATICS using any images or video footage taken during the event for promotional purposes.
Part 2: Waiver and Release of Liability
1. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge and agree that participating in the Event involves physical activity that carries inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Slips, trips, and falls.
- Collisions with other participants, objects, or terrain.
- Weather-related risks such as extreme heat, cold, rain, or wind.
- Fatigue, dehydration, or other medical issues.
2. Health and Medical Fitness
I declare that I am physically and medically fit to participate in the Event and take full responsibility for my health during the event.
3. Governing Law
This Waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under this Waiver shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By registering for or participating in an Event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions and the Waiver and Release of Liability.
