Swiftathon 5K & 10K Themed Fun Run

Join us for the Swiftathon 5K & 10K Themed Fun Run, a music-filled running event like no other.

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or simply love Taylor-inspired pop anthems, this event is for anyone who wants to enjoy a scenic 5K or 10K run, jog, walk or dance their way around the course.

What to expect:

💃 Dress the part (optional) – Come in your favourite era-inspired outfit and get ready to make the whole place shimmer.

🎤 Tribute performance and warm-up – Our live tribute act will perform for at least 45 minutes before the race begins, giving you the perfect chance to warm up and enjoy the atmosphere.

🎵 DJ and sound team – Feel-good hits will be playing at the start line to get everyone in the mood before the race begins.

🏃 Music guides – Run alongside our music guides, each carrying a speaker to keep the energy high around the course. While we can’t guarantee music coverage for the entire route, our team will be spread out to keep the songs going.

📸 Free event photographs – Professional photographers will capture some of the best moments from the day. Photos will be available free on our website within 72 hours of the event for you to enjoy and share.

⏱️ Chip-timed race – Perfect for anyone chasing a PB or wanting to track their pace. All runners will receive a race bib with chip timing, and official results will be available after the run.

🏅 Special-edition finisher’s medal – A one-of-a-kind medal inspired by iconic pop elements and the perfect keepsake from your Swiftathon experience.

🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️ Getting to West Park, Wolverhampton for the Swiftathon 5K and 10K 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

There are several convenient ways to get to West Park for the event. To help reduce environmental impact 🌍, we encourage all participants and spectators to prioritise public transport or other sustainable travel methods wherever possible. Here’s how you can reach West Park:

1. 🚆🚌 By Public Transport (Recommended) 🌟
🚆 Train:
🚶‍♂️ Wolverhampton Station: West Park is around a 15 to 25 minute walk from Wolverhampton station, depending on your route. The station is served by regular rail services, making it a convenient option for runners travelling from across the region.

🚇 Tram:
🚇 West Midlands Metro: You can also travel by tram into Wolverhampton city centre and continue on foot or by local bus from there. Transport for West Midlands has journey planning tools for tram, bus and rail routes.

🚌 Bus:
Several bus services stop close to West Park. Nearby stops include Connaught Road, Leicester Square, and Chester Street, all within a short walk of the park. Some local services in the area include routes such as 1, 6, 6A, and the 25 from Wolverhampton Bus Station.

2. 🚗 By Car 🅿️
West Park is accessible by car, but parking nearby can be limited on busy days, so please allow extra time if driving. There are parking controls in parts of the surrounding area, including Park Road West and nearby residential roads, so please check local signage carefully before leaving your vehicle.

If you are travelling into Wolverhampton city centre first, there are public car parks available nearby, with the city centre within walking distance of the park.

3. 🚴‍♀️ By Bike 🚴‍♂️
Cycling is a great option for getting to West Park. The West Midlands has cycle hire available across the region, including docking stations in Wolverhampton and near West Park.

4. 🚶‍♀️ On Foot 🚶‍♂️
For those living locally, walking to West Park is a great way to start your event day. The park is around a 10 minute walk from the north-west side of Wolverhampton city centre and has multiple entrances, including access near Park Road East.

West Park is well connected by train, tram, bus, walking and cycling routes, making it a convenient and sustainable venue for event day travel.

Who are Run Fanatics, and what do we do?

We are your ultimate themed running events company, dedicated to making every mile you run full of excitement, fun, and unforgettable memories. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a unique experience.

Are your events family-friendly?

Yes! All our events are family-friendly and open to participants of all ages. We welcome kids and families to join in the fun. Children are allowed to attend, but we do require that every child is accompanied by a participating adult, with one adult supervising a maximum of two children. While pets are not permitted to participate in the event, they are, of course, welcome to come along and spectate!

How do I register for an event?

You can register directly on our website under the Events section. Simply select the event you’d like to join, fill out the registration form, and complete your payment. Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details.

What is included with my registration?

Each registration includes entry to the race, a themed medal, bottled water and fresh fruit. Check each event's description for specific details on what’s included.

Can I walk the race instead of running?

Absolutely! Our events are designed for all fitness levels, so whether you prefer to run, jog, or walk, you’re more than welcome to participate at your own pace.

Are costumes required for themed events?

Costumes are not required, but they are highly encouraged to add to the fun!

What should I wear for the race?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing and appropriate running shoes. For themed events, feel free to dress up in line with the theme, but make sure your costume allows for comfortable movement and doesn’t pose any safety risks.

Will there be a bag drop?

Yes, we will have a designated bag drop area where you can leave your belongings. However, please note that items are left at your own risk, and we strongly advise against bringing valuables. We recommend bringing only essential items to the event.

Will there be water stations along the route?

Yes, we provide water stations along the race route at regular intervals and at the finish line. We also encourage participants to bring their own reusable water bottles to stay hydrated throughout the event. For 5k only events there will only be water at the finish line.

How do I receive my race bib and merchandise?

Race bibs will be posted to participants approximately two weeks before the event. Merchandise will be available for collection on the day.
